When
Video Meets Films
It
has been a desire amongst videoegraphers to take part in the cinematography
world, this events marks the on going artistic attempt to explore this
frontier. It begins 2 years ago, when a group of French artists participated
in a show at refusalon art space in San Francisco. That show's name
was "Postponed" (...The exhibition's title was a play on the
many possible uses of the word post: post-war; post-modern; post-industrial;
post-minimal; or posterity. Such words stand as milestones to the passage
of so-called "modernity" into uncharted territory. These words
are also particularly relevant to this show, since themes of topography,
culture, and temporality course works on...). Each night before every
film we will view half an hour of video projection on the BIG SCREEN.The
videos+films mixing is our small avant-garde...with peace blessing...
