refusalon specializes in experimental and extreme conceptual art. Art that surprises and is cerebrally provoking.

After few years in a converted garage, exhibiting some of the best radical work by local artists, refusalon relocated to a two-room subterranean space around the corner from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art showing exciting works by national and international artists.

In January 2002 refusalon turned into a spatial church. We have since dedicated ourselves to forms of art that investigate its own nature. (Check realUNreal show) We now participate in shows around the globe, education-related incidents, art consulting/services, public art, and K Glass (glass production and collaboration).
